In less then 18 months, Jinja Safari have sold out a headlining national tour, played at some of the biggest festivals in Australia and released two EP’s.
With one of the hands-down most encapsulating & incredible live shows in the country, it doesn’t take long to give yourself over to the beat of a drum, a room with a thousand smiles and young, able gentlemen haphazardly climbing speaker stacks.
To wrap up what has been a whirlwind dream-like journey so far, Jinja Safari are releasing a hearty 15-track collection, made up of their first two EP’s & new music and includes remixes from the coolest Australian indie producers over the last year.
‘Locked By Land’ will be released on 28th October as the first local release on Cooperative Music Australia, the newly minted 'down under' office of the legendary UK music company who are responsible for the likes of Phoenix, Bloc Party, The Drums, Interpol & Cold War Kids to name a few of Jinja Safari's new label mates.
Jinja Safari is just a herd of ratbags chasing a little mischief, making it work in front of a ‘few people’… which is rapidly growing to be ‘many, many people’. This is not cool music, there is no target demographic, there is no flag to raise apart from their own.
