The winners of the Wollongong leg of the Foreshore Sound Search in 2011 are Vulpes Vulpes.
The public voted Vulpes Vulpes into the Sound Search live finals at Glasshouse, where they then had to impress the judges in their 30min set.
Their loud, energetic rock and roll blew the judges away and cemented them a set at Foreshore 2011.

Vulpes Vulpes (pronounced vol-pez vol-pez) are debaucherous Wollongong gents who play a punchy blend of British rock and roll and summer pop dripping wet with atmospherics.
Captivating audiences across the state the band sits pretty well with a crowd that enjoys a bit of action and nothing but convincing stage presence and a 'unique brand of up-beat melodies'. The band sets the bar high and delivers a colossal sound that has led reviews to cite influences as a 'cross between The Libertines and the Arctic Monkeys with a touch of Aussie class thrown in for good measure'.
Having fine tuned their unique sound and taste for women in need, a debut EP is now set for release in early 2012. Things aren’t slowing down for these pristinely clad gunslingers.
The band is brought to you by Timothy Allen with swooning/crooning vocals and strings, Jack Talbert on the guitar/face-melter, Matthias Wann walking ‘that’ bass, with Anton Petkovic playing drums like they did in the homeland.
Foreshore Sound Search final is proudly presented by Kicks Entertainment, Raw FM, Power FM, Star FM and Out in Wollongong.
